Avantika University School of Law and Public Policy Holds Intra Mock Trial Competition

Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. The School of Law and Public Policy at Avantika University recently hosted a highly competitive intra Mock Trial Competition on 22nd August 2024. Second-year law students showcased their legal acumen and advocacy skills in a simulated trial based on a complex land dispute that tragically resulted in murder. 
The competition, held in the state-of-the-art moot court of the law school, provided students with a unique opportunity to apply their classroom knowledge to real-world legal scenarios. A distinguished panel of judges, led by the Dean, Professor Dr. Priya Sepaha, oversaw the proceedings. Students were assigned various roles, including prosecutors, defense attorneys, witnesses, and even investigating officers, demonstrating exceptional enthusiasm and dedication to their respective parts.

Participants engaged in rigorous legal research, crafting persuasive arguments, and mastering the intricacies of courtroom procedure. The mock trial not only honed their advocacy skills but also fostered critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork. The competition was a testament to the students' dedication to their legal education and their potential to become future leaders in the legal profession.
