GD Goenka University Welcomes Freshers with a Bang!

Gurugram, September 12, 2024 - GD Goenka University (GDGU) kicked off the new academic year with a thrilling two-day Fresher's Fest, 'REVA', held on September 11-12, 2024. The event was a spectacular showcase of talent, energy, and enthusiasm, marking the arrival of the fresh batch of students.

Day 1 of REVA celebrated the talents of school-level performers, setting the stage for an exciting Day 2. The second day saw the top freshers competing in an electrifying face-off to claim the coveted titles of Mr. and Miss Fresher for the academic year 2024-2025.

Prastuti Gupta, a (link unavailable) Biotech student from the School of Engineering Sciences (SoES), was crowned Miss Fresher. In contrast, D. Ashwanth, an MBA student from the School of Management (SoM), took home the Mr. Fresher title.

The university community came together to warmly welcome the new batch of students. The fresher's fest allowed the newcomers to mingle with their peers, seniors, and faculty members.

"We are delighted to welcome our freshers to the GDGU family," said [University Official's Name]. "The energy and talent on display during REVA were truly inspiring. We look forward to seeing our students grow and achieve great things."

With REVA, GD Goenka University has set the tone for an exciting academic year ahead. The university promises to provide its students with a nurturing environment, cutting-edge facilities, and endless opportunities to explore their passions.

Congratulations to Prastuti and Ashwanth, and a hearty welcome to all freshers! The GDGU family is eager to witness the amazing feats you will achieve.

TISS Administration Bans Student's Forum : Progressive Students' Forum (PSF)

TISS Administration Cracks Down on Student Collective In a move that has sparked controversy, the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) administration has issued a notice calling for an immediate ban on the Progressive Students' Forum (PSF), a student collective, across all its campuses. The administration claims that PSF is an "unauthorised" and "illegal" forum. The ban has been met with resistance from students associated with PSF, who have termed the order "undemocratic". The move comes after Ramadas K S, a research scholar and member of PSF, was suspended in April. Students have expressed concerns that the ban is an attempt to stifle dissenting voices and curb student activism on campus. The TISS administration's decision has sparked a debate on freedom of expression and student rights. The fate of PSF and its members remains uncertain, as the student community waits with bated breath for further developments. | Campus News by University Rep...
